Planetary Gears using GearTeq | SolidWorks Tutorial

✍️ In this tutorial, we want to learn about GearTeq software and its abilities for modelling planetary gears in SolidWorks. Also, we will see how to use gears data for creating a planetary gear set. Furthermore, we can learn how to change the fixed gear in the planetary gear set in the final SolidWorks assembly.

Planetary gearing is a gear system consisting of one or more outer or planet and gears or pinions. They are revolving about a central sun gear or sun wheel. Typically, we mount the planet gears on a movable arm or carrier, which itself may rotate relative to the sun gear. These systems also incorporate the use of an outer ring gear or annulus, which meshes with the planet gears.
